Will write this up in due course on my gig impressions list but short version is it was pissing with rain 90% of the time and I didn't like that, Ben sounded good, openers were a bit janky (especially the first act), it was a ball ache getting home

You have to give credit to Ben for being able to carve greatness from what treads a very dangerous line of being complete bollocks.

This album is one of the most pleasant listens going.

I couldn't have said it better lol. This came so dangerously close to being something I'd despise. Combine that it's different enough from his usual fare with his usual brilliance, though, and it's become yet another distinctive and great release in his discog.
