After a couple repeat listens I'd say the title track, Leap into the Lightning, feed your soul, and Jailbreak could be in the usual Shikari rotation for me. Everything else is just okay.

pls set me on fire and dead wood are the only songs here i really love but the first half + bloodshot are all solid enough. jailbreak is pretty mediocre imo they beat that hook into the fucking ground and its not even that great to begin with. i like parts of the closer but its first verse reallly grates on me, and i cannot fucking stand goldfish lmao



tl;dr album would make like a 3.5 tier ep but even in that state would still be the worst shikari

Ended up enjoying this way more than I expected. The eclectic nature of the music still manages to flow very well song to song. Really catchy hooks, big riffs, just a fun record.
