I get Ne is the violiny band now but this is Unexpect erasure and I won't sit and watch that happen NO I WON'T

It would also be Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Haggard erasure. Tbh, a lot of avant-garde and prog metal bands were already using violins and other strings before Ne ever did it

I know, I was just pointing out some of the others :]
Also, I personally prefer SGM to Unexpect, if only slightly

Mahavishnu Orchestra comes to mind
Imo the best performance of a violin in music apart from classical music ofc

^ I think Mars and I were primarily referring to metal bands, but yeah, Jerry Goodman and Jean-Luc Ponty were both amazing in Mahavishnu Orchestra. I really need to do another discog run of those guys soon

Underwhelming, even though there are some really good tracks here (Behind Closed Doors, When Talking Fails...). It's just that the rest sucks.

SGM vs Unexpect for violins is a megadumb comparison in the same way that Muh Favourit Fameale Vocalist conversations are dumb (minus the additional axis of background sexism)
Unexpect vs Ne Ob (vs this) has some ground though, with Unexpect as comfortably the superior band (on that front anyway)
