Getting right to the point... when I was younger I always thought this band was gay. Just some emo/goth/lovey dovey shit and my angry metal loving teenage self wasnt havin that. Thought they were best left for 80s teen movies and the depressed. I never really gave a full album of theirs a chance despite hearing about them constantly. I figured now that Im a mature young adult with an ever expanding exquisite taste it was about time I gave them a real shot and see what the fuss about this album was about, and I like it much more than I thought I would. The atmosphere on here is great and it grooves pretty hard. Almost a flawless album.

I'll admit that I'm not familiar with the whole The Cure back catalog, but this is my favourite album by them. Cant get into Pornography.

Pornography is just as good as this album. The thing about The Cure is, you may not love it at first but after a few listens you absolutely fall in love with them. Pornography has this dark, horrifying and just flat out depressing somber mood with anger and hatred scattered throughout it. Literally no album even remotely sounds like it in any way. Truly a masterpiece. To this day it remains the most depressing and emotional album I've ever heard. Well that and Closer. Disintegration is tied with Pornography I believe. The Cure is just amazing, really.
