NWFT was and remains by far the most underappreciated part of their discography, despite the occasional ropey cut. Everything else on that list has its moments but was absolutely disappointing compared to whatever came before it (we don't talk about Descension/CBTS back-to-back yikes)
Band certainly deserves goodwill though, even past this

i agree with the dude who said Color has more heart than this. that dude is spot on

Dark Side of Me is probably the worst song in this band's discography but this certainly has some contenders

NWFT is super underrated. I actually listened to it again today and I always forget how good it is until I experience it again. I'm not a big fan of '80s metal so maybe it's why I always think I don't like NWFT as much as I actually do but it's nostalgic as hell listen to.

if you think color has more heart than this you have to step down as staff. Not a comment on your character, it's just the rules

What Odal said. Color is soulless.

Atlas will always be one of my favorite Coheed tunes but there's no question in my mind that Vaxis II is better than The Color Before the Sun.

This is on par with TCBTS for the most part, until Ladders/Window happens and it's vastly superior. This is coming from someone who actually likes TCBTS though, it's not a bad thing!

Color absolutely has more heart than this lol, not a huge amount between them quality-wise but you can tell which songs meant more to Claudio
Those lyrics don't lie

The only songs I revisit from color are Young Love and The Audience. This is superior in every way. by far

You're probably right @jotw I haven't paid much attention to the lyrics here yet. I just like how this sounds way better.

I want to say fuck you guys for:

1. Making me get The Hard Sell stuck in my head all night and this morning

2. Having me suffer through TCBTS and realizing that it's far worse than I remember and that The Hard Sell is better than every song it

just when I think this is about to collapse under its own weight that shuffle beat kicks in in the closer

yeah i love this. idk, I was a latecomer to Coheed but the past two albums have had so much stuff that's just so much fun that I can't be mad at how ridiculous it is

I'm struggling with this one, which is strange because I loved the singles, especially after hearing them live.
