Now this was something special I must say, Slayer released this album called ''Divine Intervention''. This band was one of four other bands during the mid 80's and that group was called the ''The Big Four'', the bands were called Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica and they all played thrash-metal. The only thing was that Slayer was the only band that played a more aggressive and evil thrash-mix compared to the other bands, which also formed their own unique sounds as well. Though I haven't heard so much Slayer except for their other albums called ''South Of Heaven'' and God Hates Us All. Both of those albums didn't grabbed my attention so good but this did stuck on my mind, the reasons was that the band still had their evil and sinister sound, the bass was more audiable and the drum work was very good compared to the other albums.

underrated album, Paul played his soul out here on this recording, which makes sense, his intro to the band and a fucking explosion on percussion untouchable by any thrash drummer period

Yep, his performance is the highlight of the album. DI is still very underrated.

Too bad the sound quality is all out of whack, someone forgot to use basic audacity recording and turn the bass down, it spikes so hard it ruins my hardon

The production is the worst aspect of it. Both King and Araya openly hate this album and say it's the worst thing they've ever done, which is just bizarre to me. A lot of bands will usually associate the worst writing/recording experiences with the worst albums they ever did.

Exactly. The writing is pretty mediocre actually, lyrics are rudimentary and not well thought out, but the drums... holy shit did Paul carry this album or what?
