Reveal is one of the greatest songs I have heard in my lifetime, just under Behind My Eyes, Spaces In Between, A Thousand Miles and possibly Raise Me Up.

The 2020s can pack it up with this record as far as I'm concerned.

Truly an amazing album, but that’s a bold claim to make before rating Ethel Cain. 😜

This thing has just got me by the soul, Boney. But that record looks like an absolute essential. And I'm still digesting The Smile and MJ Lenderman. Year has been crazy good.

Yeah, I agree. I’m barely keeping up on everything this year.

Lucman is on the money!

This may very well end up at a 5, I keep coming back to this more than anything else released this year.

Anyone looking for more new stuff in a similar vein to this might enjoy this album (another slowcore project that allegedly started out as doom metal): https://winiferodd.bandcamp.com/releases

Patrick Walker played a small acoustic show in Dublin last night and it was fantastic, only a small crowd of about 30 to 40 people in a tiny venue. He didn't even have a proper set list and took requests, best 15 euro I ever spent

@medicine

I was gonna fly over from Scotland for that but the fking plane fares where ridiculous. Since o missed his secret set at Roadburn I need to fill that hole, even though I've seen him before. Just the way my head works will probably end up costing my quote a lot!

yeah plus getting a reasonably priced bed in Dublin is nearly impossible now too, even in the cheapest tourist hostels it's still a rip off, the gig would be the cheapest part of that trip by a long shot.

But oh man it was great I'd pay to go again and again every night for a week if I could. I've never seen him play a full band set though so that's the hole I need to fill
