i think its pretty logical to compare this to focus when the only reason i listened to it is because of focus

This record is about space and ∴ Exists in a vacuum.

In space no one can hear you wank

I understand why you think that but I disagree.

properties of friction in a vacuum: discuss

am glad that Aurora has the body of a certified actual song, and even more glad that it randomly drops a breakbeat. these two qualities alone have made me like everything else so far a little less in retrospect

Followed by Winged Ones or Diamond Light Body

Winged Ones was a decent start yh

In a Multiverse Where Atoms Sing sounds like it would probably be kinda excellent if the production was halfway listenable. those vocals and everything else in the mix are strangling each other and it sounds like hot wet mud

no, am on 256kbps mp3

production all over this is dodgy and i'm not surprised to have seen so many complaints, but that song in particular's layering is just killing itself and it hurts to hear

It's not something I noticed at first but:

-parts of this sound like it's been mixed on one side (right particularly)

-down the hallway

-like the studio forgot to plug just one more amp cord in

however:

-it kind of works

-am curious to know what this sounded like without the above notes

also: the promo 320's sound considerably better than 256's but shouldn't have such a margin of diff

-wank

-??

-profit

it's dense and muddy and the usual meticulously arranged crystalline layerings that Cynic nailed so well on TiA and Carbon sound like they're clumped together in some skinny boi's asspipe. not impressed. alright record though

I've struggled to sit through this since my first listen. Think the production has a lot to do with that.

Rejamming Focus rn (which I recalled being a little muddy for some reason despite its brilliance) and somehow it's sounding clearer than ever to me. Cheers Asc Codes
