i certainly see it as one of the original forces of creativity which went really far in the genesis of black metal

but yeah master of reality is a lot more doom than vol 4 is black

im not saying theres no connection, im just sayin ppls pattern-recognition-loving brains go overboard retconning history to fit some cool new narrative they discover sometimes

like you can acknowledge that something influenced something without bending genre definitions in an anachronistic manner, thats all im saying

i wouldnt categorize this album as SPEED METAL

but it certainly has some threads connected to later speed metal bands
