Love this. Knew it would be a bit more straightforward than their older stuff, singles made it super obvious, but their flavor elevates things to the point that I'm not remotely bothered by it. Agree that Sam was way too prevalent on Yellowjacket though. Song is good, but Courtney needed a chorus to herself.

"They already had the breakthrough, this is the most hyped band in metalcore the past like year and a half"
Ya holy roller has 9 million plays on Spotify which is a shit ton, or at least from what I'm used to seeing.

"Agree that Sam was way too prevalent on Yellowjacket though. Song is good, but Courtney needed a chorus to herself." - Durzzo
Agree whole-heartedly with this statement. While I like Sams vocals, I kept wishing to myself that Courtney was singing the whole track without him.
Also, i see many people do not like this song, after a few listens , it might be one of the most catchy off the entire album. The lyrics on this one are my favorite. Definite highlight.

So far I do not like Yellowjacket at all. I'll give it a couple more spins. Overall digging the album.

Track is definitely an album highlight for me and Sam didn't drag his sweaty balls over anything, his voice is elite tier. Courtney just also needed a bigger presence to accompany it.

I like this a lot. First I’ve heard them today, very impressive.

Courtney needed one chorus in Yellowjacket and I think Sam went too aggro on the chorus. Other than that, great song. Too bad the chorus is like half the song.

Biggest problem with this record is the guest vocals on Yellowjacket. It’s a sick track and would’ve been better with just Courtney.

Sun Killer is still my favorite new one. Crossing my fingers that they play it live on the spring tour

Up from a 4 to 4.5 after second listen for me. Might fall down in time but this slaps. Best songs for me are Hurt You, Silk in the Strings and Holy Roller. Worst are We Live in a Strange World, Yellowjacket and The Summit.

only songs i didnt like were hurt you and yellowjacket, and i think my early impressions were kinda hurt by those two being back to back so early on the record. will likely replace those with blessed be/rule of nines even tho idk where yet

Favorite tracks so far are - > " Sunkiller", "Yellowjacket"," Silk In the Strings" and "Halcyon". "Eternal Blue" is pretty epic too. I literally shed a few tears listening to this one.
The rest are decent too, there isnt a track i really feel the need to skip over, except maybe "Secret Garden". The chorus on that is almost unbearable for me to listen to. Sounds like something Taylor Swift would sing.
"We live in a Strange world" is a little iffy for me right now, but I think it has the chance to grow on me a bit.
