Hello? Officer? I'd like to report a murder

good point lol

The more variations of stuff someone likes should lessen the impact of someone saying that person has shit taste. So Colton should be nicer to hawks considering hawks at least has the happiness to check out everything and like a lot of what he finds. When someone can bother to rate 5,000+ albums that no one doubts he genuinely listened to, that oersons taste becomes elite and untouchable.
Tldr: colton has no moral high ground to make fun of someone who clearly loves music.

| |
i'm the true shit-taste one, there are so many bolded albums i just can't get into
|
| |
Venin this is not the time to shit on yourself, no time is, go chat ppl up about music you both like.

the fewer ratings you have the more you love music. because you love the stuff you've already heard so much you don't feel the need to acquire more
|
| |
Is this a reference to Kendrick?

"the fewer ratings you have the more you love music. because you love the stuff you've already heard so much you don't feel the need to acquire more"
That take is worse than this album
|
| |
Idk. There might be something to that. The people on this site with 5000+ ratings tend to hate most music.
|
| |
I would argue that a strong love for music creates a desire to push beyond comfort zones and explore what other genres/artists have to offer. Doesn't guarantee you'll end up liking what you find; rather it's the process of searching that is the expression of love and enjoyment of music.
Plus, everyone will always have that core group of albums/artists to come home to regularly.
|
| |
I mean, it's a weird take to be sure. But it's weirder that there is some truth to it. Obviously, you won't listen to that many albums if you aren't enjoying it to some extent though.
|
| |
If you have 5000 or more ratings I gotta think you're probably very rarely listening to any album twice so yeah... I can see the argument that they like finding new music more than actually liking anything that much in particular
|
| |
Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard lmao. I have 6000+ ratings and everything that I've rated 3.5 or higher has been listened to multiple times. At least most of then. Also Colton is a huge moron yeah.

hawks you just got bodied 3-1. it's time to log off for the day and go sulk in the park to a Gorgoroth album you pretend you've heard before
|
| |
Also refrain from mentioning great bands like Gorgoroth when your indie pop loving ass has never bothered to jam their greatness.
Awful page break.
