Overall not a fawning Miyazaki fan, tbh, so take my opinions of him with a grain of salt. Rarely get much more from his films than "look at how stunning the animation is, innit" - not to imply that merely superficial pleasures should be forbidden but making a career out of (largely) that is bound to have diminishing returns (see also: Nicolas Winding Refn lol).
