this thread has weird energy
my cat died of leukemia in 2018

I'm sorry for your loss. Now I'm sad. What was it's name?
|
| |
is cool, she had a good and reasonably long life. her name was Pearl and she was a useless dope and i loved her more than the other things in my family's minimenagerie. she would maybe have liked this album
tbqh i'm less over it in 2021 than i was in 2018 but that's mainly because that japanese breakfast song about euthanasia didn't exist in 2018

Isn't 'Happier Than Ever' also the title of the new Lorde album - meow, take that!
|

Is there an alternative cover art for this somewhere
|
| |

“think if you invest in this album you invest in the psychology and Not My Responsibility is kinda key to that end. key puzzle piece when it comes to constructing the eilish etcetc”
I totally get that; it’s just the way it’s presented doesn’t do it for me. I like the ideas behind the lyrics, it’s just the execution vocally I find off-putting

Gonna need to spin this a couple more times before I can pass judgment; more minimalistic than her debut caught me a bit off guard.

I listened out of pure curiosity, and I would say considering my exposure was just bad guy, I am positively surprised. I don't think for personal taste this will ever be over a 3 or 3.5, lyrics and tunes are just ok in my books, but I appreciate the vibe
coda also raises the energy and hits harder, nice, positively surprised!

Those vocals are waaaay to loud on your power.
|

Probs my fave off this so far though. Even with that head explosion vocal

And could definitely do without Billie's 10 second "fuck me eyes" gif playing in the background on Spotify.

First 6 songs are garbage, but album is offering some interesting moments from Lost Cause and further, especially Happier Than Ever (song) is great, it is like mix between Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.

Your Power is so so fucking good[2]

Feel like this is a classic victim of streaming-era tracklist bloat, cut 3 or 4 songs from the first half and it's prob one of my favorites of the year. Everything from "Your Power" to the end is great.
