We're Lucky and Wooden Soldiers are EASILY the best songs here

We're Lucky and Back to the Middle for me. The end of Wooden Soldiers is cool but I found the first 3 minutes or whatever pretty boring. That's still enough to put it in the top half though
Can't decide if Transmitting Receiving or Leave a Light On is the worst here, but one of those is probably their worst song ever

"We're Lucky" is growing on me. But man "Transmitting Receiving" sucks, it's fucking interminable and never goes anywhere interesting.

"...it still makes for the band’s most exciting album in well over a decade."
This would mean something if they'd released more than 1 album in this span. Saying it's more exciting than the last one isn't saying much lol.
Not sure how I totally feel about this yet. Their weakest but I'm warming up to some songs. I just didn't like how a lot of it...sounds. Opener grew on me, We're Lucky is pretty good. Hopefully I'll come around to more of it.

Isaac actually sounds very chilled out and not really "mentally ill" to me. Many people just sadly believe in conspiracy theories now, but in the AMA and the interviews, he seemed nicer than ever.
The album's ok.

"nice" =/= mentally healthy

Lace Your Shoes is so dull. Nice enough sentiment in the lyric though I guess.

""nice" =/= mentally healthy"
Well no, but also: believing in bullshit conspiracy theories =/= mentally ill.
