Album is bursting with gorgeous melodies and catchy choruses and a sonic cohesiveness far exceeding wildflower.

@gyro

Is it? I like the whole mix "party mix" part of their debut. That's not what i hear here. It's very tame, and pretty common stuff you could find in many-a-youtube-or-soundcloud dj mix. Not impressed, given the group's prestige and all. Matt, you gave wildflower a 5 too, so what does this one far exceeding that album mean to me here?

i don't update ratings, wildflower is more like a 4 to me now. i love since i left you too - legit one of my all time favourites, but i'm fine with them not making since i left you pt 2. their sound has been drastically different on each album and i think that's just fine. wildflower was a clear indicator of them using guest features more prominently and this is a further extension of that. this might not have the same party-mix feel of sily but it still has amazing flow and atmosphere that sounds distinct to me.

a lot of this does warrant milquetoast branding big time, but it's a huge step up from Wildflower and q refreshing as a distinct sound from SILY

I, for one, have lost, minimized, or at least put strain on many of my relationships due to quarantining, disagreements on mask wearing, etc. I'm confident it hasn't been easy for any of us. The pandemic has led to more break-ups and divorces than usual,"

The Divine Chord and Interstellar Love are pretty much on a constant loop in my brain. Insanely infectious and highly emotional songs.

Because ppl are sad this still isn't SILY pt. 2, which is fair but also selfish.

Might bump this down to a 3.5 eventually : (
