Bruh if I bought every album I listened to I’d be on the street and you’d be dropping quarters in my tin cup

Idk how people can put up with the clutter of collecting vinyl. It gets to a point where you don't own stuff, your stuff owns you. God help you if you ever have to move.

That's why you only buy things you actually want for a long time. I have maybe 200 CDs and about 20 vinyl, pretty easily managed

gotta be more selective in your music too I guess. Only found 4 albums this year I care about

I've stopped buying CDs since I got Spotify, but I'm planning to start with my vinyl collection soon.

Only 4 albums in an entire year? Damn

I collect vinyl but I don’t go crazy with it. Mostly like buying $2 jazz records from a shop down the road, new vinyl is always expensive so fuck that

2400 records... Most vinyl costs 20-30 bucks a pop.

With some leeway on sales and best case scenario, that's around $70,000.

WORTH IT

I bought 70 vinyls in April/May this year because I was bored/depressed in lockdown and I justified it by saying I wanted to support artists who can't tour.

I have 8 of them on display on a cabinet but the rest are a waste - If I want to listen to something I just connect my phone to the speakers. Vinyl sounds worse and is more of pain in the ass to play

Actually I think I will sell some - but packaging and posting them will be a pain in the ass

Sadly not all vinyl

but I want to stress that nobody actually "needs" this many records lol
I just love collecting stuff

"2400 physical records"

That's a lot of music. I've lost count, but my CD collection should be around 1000, and I no longer have room to increase it much more.

Sounds cool, but:

"There is no more fucking space in this house for your stupid albums!!"

- probably our wifes in the future
