He's been doing it for 40 years but I also think Tiny Desk was, unironically, a really difficult setting for him given how constrained the volume of the band is as well as how quiet the crowd is. At times it's almost like you're hearing his vocals in isolation and, yeah, it's rough in parts. Still wild that a band like them could pull it off. GWAR also had a Tiny Desk that had the same issues.
