I'm a huge sucker for AGGTCGUVUFYCSDDSCAP, that one is perfect to me.

I jammed this on a walk yesterday for the first time and I thought it was excellent. Have no idea what repeated listens will yield

It's ok, but uneven. Little Boy was stuck in my head the whole night, those guitars are very nice and I wish they explored that sound further on this.

Hey Trifo! What do you mean by uneven? like it's not a cohesive listen, or in quality songwriting, or something else? Curious what you mean by that

If anything this is too even, in an uncontoured plain way

Hmm, I think mainly in that a few tracks are alright/enjoyable and a few of them are annoying to me. But I guess there is a very strong case to be made for this being very even, as Johnny said, with it being monotonous to a fault. Maybe uneven wasn't the best word.

hmmm, interesting. I enjoy the overall vibe of this release, it doesn't hold a candle to my top Ulver albums, but for what it is I think it's very well crafted. There are a lot of moments on this and Caesar where Garm's lyrics kinda catch my ear. Pretty much every time he mentions a year, a renaissance figure, a locale, or a combination of the three I just wish he'd return to talking about the sun going in circles.

Yeah those years are getting old for sure. One of the reasons I don't like the 1993 track here. Overall this is their worst full length since Kveldssanger.

Wars of the Roses, Messe, Assassination, and ATGCULJNEKFUYEIB are all tops tbh

Whoa, listening to Wars right now and if you hear what Garm does on England for instance (one of their best tracks for sure) and you compare it to his singing here, totally worlds apart.

The sentence in Little Boy where he drops the name of the album is Garm's high point on this. Love it, it keeps popping up in my head.
