"I can understand why people wouldn’t enjoy it, but yeah most albums can only dream of averaging a 4."

This is a 4 from me (I only rank at year-end), but I'm willing to bet this settles in at like a 3.7 by then. The fanboys always rank immediately.

butt.

i dont think this band is well-known enough to have a fanboy presence on this dying site

Why not do the deftones thing and the metalcore in the same songs? I really like what I hear but I feel like someone’s feeding me a delicious meal one ingredient at a time rather than putting together a coherent dish.

There are multiple songs on here where they blend the Deftones with the metalcore, so... Idk.

There are some great songs on this. However, yeah most of the heavy shit seems to interrupt the albums flow. At times, it feels like I'm listening to two completely different bands.

That's true, but it all flows together reasonably well enough I think. The more I repeat it though, the more I wish they just made an album of softer songs punctuated by some really heavy shit instead of the almost-even mix we have here.

Not ready to rate this yet, but I'm not really getting it. Seems like pretty generic metalcore, nothing spectacular or memorable, and the cleans directly rip off Chino. What's the appeal here?

The Deftones worship parts tbh

I can appreciate that just as much as the next guy, but yeah, maybe a few full spins will do me some good. Right now I haven't even been able to stay interested long enough to finish it front to end.
