So my only complaint here is that the vocals, at times, sound a little overly theatrical versus the emotions that they're trying to evoke. Like, on occasion, I feel like he should have just reined it in. But otherwise, I'm thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere of this album and the strength of the songs/melodies themselves. 'Observe the Train' and 'At the Bottom' both rule, as does the entire second half.

This keeps growing on me. While I dont find myself enjoying any individual songs from the first half, in the setting of the full album I appreciate the slow build in intensity towards the end.

I've listened to it more than Malina, but my expectations were very low tbh. So that helps I think. I've been listening to a below, distant bells and foreigner the most so far. Still digesting it
I like to take my time with every album before properly judging it. Maybe like 10-15 listens at least
