I haven't seen Pikazilla say one good thing about this since I saw them in the forums. Dude, if you don't like it then why are you here? Let people enjoy it instead of being a buzzkill. You want everyone to know how much you don't like this?

Certain people can be a bit too intimidated by Tool and react in awkward ways.

"diamond-hard hateboner"
LMAO - fair enough.

Pika just doesn't like Tool and he should definitely be allowed to state his dislike.
I mean, it would be a bit unnerving if everybody would like the same thing lol

This thread is cancer as expected. No Tool album floored me by the first listen so this will probably be a grower

"I only new this was coming out bc of Sput, otherwise I wouldn't have known. Which media you talking about?"
You can Google this, but Loudwire, Consequence of Sound, Revolver, Spin come to mind. They posted a lot about Tool this month and what we should expect, etc etc. All good since it's a band on a label that has a serious budget for marketing. People have been going nuts and that annoyed many, thus creating this anti-hype lol.
"And Intronaut's DOLTs got boring pretty fast, too repetitive, great album nonetheless, but I haven't jammed that for at least a couple of years now."
To each his own. Just comparing, I find Intronaut's Direction of Last Things more interesting and dynamic overall. Plus, it's punchier, more intense and less predictable overall. Anyway, they should have an album coming out soon as well, I'm stoked to hear it.

Just downloaded the whole discography from iTunes. The remasters sound awesome.
Anyways, FI lives up to the hype. My favorites are Invincible, 7empest, Pneuma and Culling Voices.

Re: Maynard's vocals; dude went on record saying a sound engineer came to his winery while he multi-tasked doing wine shit, and recording vocals. I think if he had put all of his focus onto the vocals we would have a had some bigger vocal climaxes on the album. However, the more subdued vocals seem fine.

Speaking of hype, I just saw a screenshot of iTunes' rock charts where 4 of the top 6 albums are Tool's.

You can hear them knocking off the rust with the first two songs. Once that is out of the way, the album gets into high gear and sounds amazing.

That's awesome. I'm telling you man, the remasters are worth it. Specially for people who complain about the production of Undertow and Opiate.

So the people saying this is the worst album they've ever heard, yet call Tool fans pretentious. The irony is crazy. Saying this is a 1 is the most pretentious shit I've ever seen lmao. I like it, it's a good listen, its not a masterpiece, but Jesus Christ grow up lol

I only heard Lateralus, now is a good time to check more of their music I guess. Especially if they did remasters and stuff, I hope those are available on Google Play
