Weakest chorus for me. Atm I'd rank it: Anchor>Geronimo>Life of Vermin>FXMLDR>Son of Serpent>Swarm>Everyday Ghost>Terraformer>Chromology>Birdwatching

Birdwatching is a beautiful track though. Your 2 less fave tracks are my 2 fave ones lool, except for Anchor, wich I dig too.

Michael Jackson comes often to mind and its disturbing as hell...I m just surprised noone talks about it here lool and prefer to compare it with TMV or coheeeed.

PS- I like MJ's vocals on its genre.

Thank you Neek, and likewise :') agreed on the closer being the weakest, the fact that it's the title track makes it even more baffling. I was worried about this album for a little bit when they released that song as a single

I think I may like the 2nd disc a bit more than the first as of now.

I cringed when I realised this would go over to a 2nd disc, simply based on the runtime and nothing else, not even taking into account the music at all. Weird, I know.

2nd disc starts at "Geronimo" - saw the packaging at their merch stand when I saw them last weekend, though I ultimately didn't buy the album (I *did* buy a really cool shirt).

Agreed that the 2nd disc is a hair better but both are very strong.

Tentative track ratings/rankings:

5/5: Life of Vermin

4.5/5: FXMLDR > Anchor > Shatner's Lament > Everyday Ghosts

4/5: Son of a Serpent > Chromology > Geronimo > Swarm

3.5/5: Birdwatching > Wrinkle

3/5: New Moon = Terraformer

Yes, I rate an interlude higher than most of the actual songs... a testament to how well "Shatner's Lament" sits with me

finally gave this a spin.

i liked it while i was listening (for the most part), but as soon as i was done, it's like it completely effervesced from my mind. nothing really memorable about it, at least not for me. but i can't say too many bad things about it, either, other than annoying vox at some points.

debating between 2.5 and 3 but will probably need to listen again before giving it a rating.

bless all these DOOM avatars. one of my favorite games growing up. i remember buying the original DOOM on my Windows '95 PC and it had to be installed via four separate floppy discs. those were the days.

A 2.5 or 3 is perfectly understandable tectactoe - I first checked this band about a month or so after Stranger Heads Prevail dropped and my initial rating was a low 3 because of the vocals (which I don't have a problem with anymore)

I've been playing so much Doom 2 recently, still so, so good. All the mods and stuff make it endlessly replayable. I've got a 500+ strong library of Steam games, but I still reach for GZDoom every time!

You ever try installing a Windows 95 game onto Windows 7 or later? The results are interesting
