My feeling on a first listen, after a recommendation from my little brother, was that these guys know how to put chords and a melody together, especially on “free at last,” my god—but that something keeps me at a distance regarding the group-shout choruses and bombastic approach to music. I can’t lie, I think it has a lot to do with what I’ve been conditioned to think is Cool and Not Cool...reminds me of Jeff rosenstock or AJJ or whatever in that regard. Overall a pretty good album

after giving this a spin after a while i can say that Closure is surely their worst song on record... Really skip material.
But scorpion hill and bloody mary have grown substantially on me. Fucking jammmmssss.

Yeah I loved Bloody Mary since first listen. Love hearing lyrics about a pentagram with happy pop punk instrumentals. Great juxtaposition. Scorpion Hill is easily the best song here.
