yea this is the faintest he's pretty much ever been mixed
although I guess something soft could also be potent in the sense that the tones are just really rich? could see that as well

this is the most dynamic they've been production-wise and I love it
the subtle peaks and valleys are fuckin tight

they've always had that

eh, as much as I love somewhere I wouldn't call it rich. og mix is way too rough to qualify as such

Is it just me or is the entire album on the rise? What I mean by that is that there are mini-crescendos sprinkled throughout, but the intensity builds with every single track - like if you were to graph the intensity, it'd be a gradual incline from start to finish. Every time the vocalist erupts into cathartic shouting I think ok, that was it, that was what they were building to, but then a few minutes later they top it, and then again.

I could see that yeah, There You Are is insanely powerful with those gigantic stark chords leading into the shouting

I love so much how he delivers the quieter spoken word segments -- he's the perfect amount of affected, doesn't overdo it at much as he could, and even when he does, it still sounds so good.
