I've never had so much invested in the average rating for an album. It's a bizarre feeling! For me, this is better than Ixora and YAMS (two of my favorite albums of all time), so I'm hoping it levels out at around a 4 or a little higher.

Listened to Skywriter again just now and am even more convinced it's one of the best here

@dmathias I feel the same way lol, I just find this so much better than their last two record so I will be greatly confused and disappointed if it settles below a 4

Used to listen to Eat, Sleep, Repeat every day in High School. Haven't spun that in years and man that shit brings me back

Skywriter is definitely one of my favorites. Aaron’s been playing it solo on tour but I can’t find a full video of it!

well this sure as hell was not a disappointment. so many subtle nuances in the production and palette of instruments/variations. really dug this and damn they have matured from the old days of more emo oriented song-writing of olde.

I hope Skywriter grows on me. Lyrically it's good but when the vocals kick in, it just feels kinda bland

The production on this is really interesting for sure. There's a lot going on here. Listening to this on headphones which is coincidentally the only way I've heard this so far reveals a lot of really interesting mixing. There are so many vocal parts by Aaron doubled up and hard panned to both sides which does get a little heavy at times. This thing is layered as heck though with samples and instruments, so every listen new things pop out.

Exactly! That's what I keep thinking every time I listen to it. Lots of layers.

Went to try and buy the record and it might as well be $500 given exchange rates and shipping. Jesus.

SRC just posted a variant of it, may have more luck there.

Really? I find this noticeably better than Ixora. And I like Ixora.

There’s just no real stand outs for me like Erase off Ixora for example. This time it all seems too experiemental without being memorable
