It doesn’t have the same racist background as blackface so it’s obvipusly not the same, it was a joke. But it’s still a major problem with it’s own slew of racial connotations, mostly good ol’ appropriation. She’s not making fun of African Americans, she’s trying to be African American.

Any artist who does that should be criticized, or black artists who significantly lighten their skin tone. It’s offensive to your own origins, people like that are all posers.

As for the black culture appropriation thing via hip hop, that's debatable and even amongst iconic African American hip hop legends there is a lot of disagreement on whether or not hip hop is a 'black' phenomenon. Plus it's a tad weird to question the legitimacy of white people using hip hop culture while ignoring white people using soul and r&b culture
