Their fan club is called The Anoids.
Pretty sure there was a Commodore 64 game called Astronoids.

The vocalist does kinda sound like he's ending every line with shit like "I SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" or "TO BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" or "I DREEEEEEEEAAAAMMMM" in every song lol

Wish you hadn't called it post punk. It's so correct it hurts.

Pop punk? Yep, this guy should have been Tom DeLonge's replacement haha
Interestingly I think my childhood love of Blink-182 is actually a major part of what endeared Air to me so much; it seamlessly blends that nostalgia with pretty much every genre I currently love

I thought "Oh, so Tom Delonge now" when I first heard the new singles just because of how much higher his voice is in the mix now. And frankly I love Tom Delonge so any comparison is a good one. Yeah this is growing on me again, I think the trick is to not overplay it like Air, because Air has more legs.
Also, given this sub's boner for "blackgaze", I'm a bit concerned there'd no entry for MØL on here? Found them last night on Spotify and they have a sick sound. Just assumed there was a re view here. Their album "Jord" is stellar and I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of bands adjacent to Astronoid.

Mol are on sput, the db just can't handle accents. Jord got a lot of hype round here, it was my favourite album from last year - see you on the thread :-)

You can't go wrong with expecting a huge disappointment.

I think I like the general pacing of Air a bit better than this one, but the diversity or mood I'm feeling a little more here.
