Corpsessed and Chapel Of Disease are better

So I take it these guys are good. It's it really brutal/abrasive or like normal death metal heavy?

'I mean this is solid and all but I must admit I don't understand why this is seen as goat. Personally I think the latest Horrendous album is a much stronger dm album from this year for one. What am I missing here?' (2) So far anyway.
I'd say this is pretty 'standard' in the death metal heaviness stakes. Heavier than some stuff on the proggy side of the spectrum, but no-one will confuse these guys for Cryptopsy or Cannibal Corpse. It doesn't have the ridiculous low-end of Incantation (for a death/doom example) either.

This album hasnt clicked with me yet so i cant quite speak to it, but Black Death Horizon is a pretty immediately awesome album so you'll definitely get the hype after you jam that one

Album rules but lacks variety, starts to blur towards the end until Charnel Plains ends the album with a bang.

This band has moments where they're thrashing and even feels like Autopsy. There's more build up and atmosphere here than a lot of other death metal bands.
Detestation Rite is absolutely absurd. If you found this album underwhelming at first, just listen to that track or the t/t on repeat like 3-4 times. t/t didnt impress me on first listen but I fucking love that track

I did enjoy Black Death Horizon too and this is about on par

those were my faves followed by Eldricht Summoning that has this nice interlude...looks a bit one sided mood but the drums on this kept me engaged. Will do this again

I don't see any of what I have heard from these guys as being particularly experimental

Album Rating: 4.5
I don't get the experimental comment unless you hear things here you haven't heard before. To which I would say, check out bands like Portal, Gorguts, Deathspell Omega, etc for something experimental because this isn't it

Yep, BDH isn't experimental either, unless you've never heard death/doom before I guess.

I haven't given this a full listen until now. Had heard pieces of the whole, but as an album I think it flows really well and I can't see anywhere where an attentive listener would lose their place, so to speak, while listening to this.
Onto Damnation is sweet and I think that is one of the tracks overlooked.

Don't forget Imperial Triumphant for experimental!
