Lucky for me I got a Fleshkiller download without the lyrics and I haven't tried to understand them since, works like a charm.

there's something funny about digging extol and insulting this at the same time but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Ghandi deciding that if it isn’t revolutionary he doesn’t like it, yet again.

I don't think that defines this album at all. It's far from primarily dissonant and not even remotely similar to VBE, at least not to my ears. But of course, every metal made in the past 20 years is bound to be 'post' VBE.

Don't really hear all that much VBE in this either.
I could never call this bad. This is definitely a respectable effort and it manages to sound somewhat fresh despite the sonic similarities with established "math metal" groups. Nonetheless for some reason it doesn't really excite me.

Definitely. I can understand someone not digging this but to say it's below average...

I dont call this directly vbe influenced. I said post vbe reffering to metal bands that mix in post-hardcore influences. Which is a done to death fusion by now.

are clean vocals common in this post vbe stuff you talk about? also, as far as im aware, there aren't really all that many styles of vocals outside of cleans and harsh vocals. would burping be more up your alley?

The way she uses cleans makes her unique in a way. Harmonies are beautiful, flawless and gawddamn she has resources.

My only issue with this is that while the harsh vox sound pretty great they're a bit...one note? There's not a whole lot of tonal or rhythmic variation that I'm getting from it.
