Holy fuck someone actually thinks TDKR is good? That movie is trash.

"I mean if you disagree that movies like Thor Ragnorak, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Avengers, Deadpool, Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy, Daredevil TV show, Iron Man, Spiderman: Homecoming etc do a ridiculous job at actually capturing the comic books to real life then I guess agree to disagree but I disagree HARD, good sir."
Daredevil is amazing, and season 3 is the Dark Knight of tv shows tbf.

Going with a few friends, mixture of boys and girls.
Hopefully the girls don't sabotage it with screams haha.

I honestly have to say the first rob zombie remake was better than this
|
| |
Damn, hope that's not true cos that movie sucks.
Giving Michael an origins story is pointless, Loomis even says he is pure evil in the original and it's a lot scarier knowing that there is no reason for his actions.

"I honestly have to say the first rob zombie remake was better than this"
Worst statement of the year.
|
| |
true but I appreciate the different perspective on a character we seem to ‘know’.
I’d even go as far as saying his remake is the best movie he has ever made, but that’s not saying much because Rob zombie is kind of shite. I’m sure you’ll dig it plebster, it just didn’t do much for me, I’m weird with my movies. Definitely fun to see with friends in a full theatre

I don't even dislike Zombie all that much, Devils Rejects rules.
The main problem I have with his Halloween remake (and most of Zombie's work) is his over reliance on gore and one-dimensional hillbilly characters.
Devils Rejects actually worked because of the unique characters you were able to somehow sympathise with. Once Wydell starts going crazy I actually wanted the psychos to prevail, great twist.

Gore is fun and Michael is pretty cool. The first act is actually pretty good, I think. The other 2 are ok.
|
| |
yeah it starts strong but goes absolutely nowhere, and I understand it’s not trying to be much but it was exactly how I imagined a Halloween sequel to be in 2018. I don’t want to go into detail because I don’t want to spoil it for pleb but yeah opinions
|

Mainly hyped cos Curtis is back tbh.
|
| |
But like, what else were they gonna do here. What other kind of movie could have been made, in this scenario? I feel they did pretty damn well all things considered. Was certainly stronger than the original "Halloween 2" which was basically just a pointless slasher-without-story extension to the first

If I had to rank the Halloween franchise it would go:
Halloween (1978)
Halloween H20
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween 4
Halloween (2007)
Halloween 5
Halloween II (2009)
Halloween: Resurrection
|
| |
i've only ever actually seen the first 2 and this new one, but i'm gonna get around to Season of Witch soon enough
|
| |
Season of the Witch is a really fun B movie man.
