This album and their most recent release have been growing on me a lot for some reason. I didn't like them at all when they first came out.

Curious Willie, after some time's passed, where do you have this in their discog now? To me it's pretty much straight away been my favorite by these guys. It may not have the crazy songwriting the first two had, but at least this one sounds *MARGINALLY* better. Damn if only these guys had halfway decent production throughout their career, what a world that would be eh. Seas of Starvation is huge yes, but then again, this album works so well as a whole, no filler start to finish imo

For whatever reason I never really liked SOTS that much (although Blinded By Fear is fantastic).
Terminal Spirit Disease is peak At The Gates for me, followed by At War with Reality.

Looks like me and Futures have to keep repping our SOTS 5s. I will do it proudly!

This is fairly meh but The Nightmare of Being is actually pretty good imo.

I'd rather have brain damage than think SOTS is a 5 so all good here
i'd love Nightmare too if his voice wasn't so shot, it's just not there anymore sadly

I've learned to just ignore the vocals. Everything else makes it the best post-reunion album easily.

I know a lot of people hated the vocals but I didn’t think they were that bad.
I feel like that the tattered sound kind of matched the vibe of the album.

i also think the vox here are fine, but on the next one they're just abysmal
