This site continues to astound me with users who waste their life consistently posting about records they don't like.

"if that's the case than just go listen to almost any post rock band you can search on google"
"yes, suggest post-rock to the individual who liked the track with no guitars in it and prominent vocals"
*apply cold water to burned area*
btw ye i also find it kinda short, but on the other hand ppl on sput cry about lenghty albs all the time. whats the sweet spot?

They just needed a solid title track and this album's length would have been perfect. In regards to orbital, I think it is pretty great. The chord progression hits me right in the feels. Then again I'm a sucker for that twinkly spacey shit.

I actually find this to be their best in every way. It really really helps that it’s really short. With the help of more artistic, spacey tracks it really takes away from the annoying often overbearing sound of djent. It heightens their talent and leaps them forward.

If Orbital's chord progression sounds familiar, which it should, here's why (brace yourself)...

Umm, the chord progression is one of the most common in all music. That’s not what makes the track special. The overall ambience, mood, emotion, underlying beat, and Dan’s vocal lines bring it all together in a special way. Not sure what you were trying to prove there.
Also, Adam Lambert did it better.

this just keeps growing on me. i disagree with the review about dan's vocals, i think he shines throughout the entire album. he could be a little higher in the mix though

I don't mean to prove anything. Listen to the two tracks back to back and the melody sounds similar. I hope now each time you hear that song you hear Pink and your ears bleed. You're welcome!
And seriously? gtfoohwts lol.

This band stands and falls with the singer's vocal lines. The instrumentation often just isn't that interesting.
On this album Liminary, King, Orbital, Juno, Smile and The Arrow are great. Beneath My Skin / Mirror Image just doesn't do much for me. Polaris remains their best record.

if u rly try hard enough u can almost always find similarities between songs. thats just how music goes.
the more interesting question is: rip off or nah. i think we can safely rest the case here.

Sonder sounds like a much more natural next step after Altered State than Polaris does. Bunch of missteps here and there aside, this feels like a much less forced effort.

Definitely. The edition to more moody, emotional tracks like The Arrow and Orbital make this more sensational for me.
