'It Must Get Lonely' just finished and I must say, 3 tracks in, this is pretty damn solid.
edit: holy hell, the t/t just came in and it's already the best song

No way, We Look Like Lightning fucking kills. "What song do you want to die to?" hits like a fucking freight train.

I feel like Flowers Where Your Face Should Be should have culminated in something more instrumentally. Vocally his passion is ridiculous but there should have been a drawn out solo or something around the 3:40 mark. Still, great song.
edit: just finished 'We Look Like Lightning', and all I can say is...wow. Falling hard and fast for this band/album already.

Album is damn good.

Ugh the production at the intro of Heaven's Gate is inexcusable, I don't know the term for it but you can clearly hear buzzing

My leaked copy actually sounds a bit crisper and more balanced than the spotify edition, so idk what the fuck is going on there.
prolly something to do with how spotify processes the audio files that come to them. maybe try to find a cd copy cuz they're usually mastered better than digital editions.

why does this record sound so congested? who buried the vocals in the opening song? how does this band continue to choose shit ways to have record produced?

the production is at times a little muddled but it's not oppressive

sowing pls check greatest generation next its their best for sure

Album Rating: 4.0
nope, first time listener. 4.7 is probably a bit of a hype rating but it'll stick as long as this doesn't suddenly sound shitty on consecutive listens.
edit: will check greatest gen next, but wanna give this all the time it deserves first

You'll probably like Greatest Gen more Sowing, unless you're like me and like them equally. Definitely check out Greatest though, it's a bit more emotional and gut punchy than Sister Cities.

I feel like you'd like most of their discography, Sowing, but definitely give Greatest Gen and also Suburbia a listen
