Can't forget that Dillinger Escape Plan dropped an album then too. 2016 was another great year for metalcore. Might even have been my favorite in the last five years.

Heard this yesterday, blown away. Came on Sputnik to see if everyone else is as impressed - yes they are.

What a record!

I might be in the minority here but Ten Dogs is a really bad track imo.

The chorus is pretty dreadful and the chord progression/song just goes nowhere till around the very end. It's really the only song here I have a big issue with.

I don't dislike any of the songs tbh, but the weakest one is probably Broadcast Network

I agree with Steak on this one. I like the grungy, hazy atmosphere of Red Heaven. I also think it's rather catchy overall, a nice change of pace if you will, but it all comes down to preference of course.

@FearThyEvil I tend to agree about that track the cleans and chorus of that track are one of my gripes that keep this above 4 as well. I wouldn't say the track goes nowhere until the end. The moments where the guitar becomes more technical and the screams blend over them are all great throughout that song. I just feel by comparison, vocal performances like on Echo and Dust, Pt. 1 come a lot closer to showing the full potential of the clean vocals. However, I still feel throughout this release (although the vocals are great) they always fall just short of reaching the heights that the screamed areas achieve.

just my two cents
