My first semi-direct exposure was when I found Farewell Mona Lisa downloaded on a specimen ipad at the apple store when I was like thirteen. Knew who they were and what I could expect if I hit it, but didn't have the stones to go there

Seeing people bitch about it on their instagram feed is making me irrationally angry. Like do you people understand how lucky you are with that fucking lineup

That's definitely a wild line-up and I'm saying that as someone who isn't head-over-heels for a few of those bands (or the current incarnation of HEALTH tbh... why are HEALTH even there? lol)

TDEP+ Converge on the same bill is always going to be fucking killer, Imagine if Converge played an old album in full Like You Fail Me

That full festival lineup is hilarious, a must-check

god awful for the most part but there’s some gold in there. That one stage would be worth it alone if it weren’t in fucking Florida.
Wild to see Knocked Loose higher on the bill than Underoath and Killswitch

yeah rockville was pretty laughable a couple years ago. knocked loose were good, but i dont really dig em. only tdep and converge on the ticket for this one. dont think i can go for that. its like a 2 hour drive for me. most of the headliners were only good 20 years ago

I’m going and if you talk shit then you haven’t been to them before. Florida does festivals right.

Wdym? Genuinely curious, I haven’t been to Florida in like a decade
That lineup is just kinda whack. Alice In Chains is the only big name headliner worth a shit… maaaaybe Mudvanye depending on what material they’re playing. imo you don’t get any decent bands until the third row, and that day one lineup mentioned last page is BY FAR the best stage to be at. Power Trip would be cool to see. Would be curious to see the mystery band underneath Mastodon. That stage ain’t bad either.

Good Charlotte?? no way
fun lineup tbh. at least they did an ok job grouping the stages by subgenre for the most part. when they don't tho, it's hilarious. like ICP above Testament lmao. and AiC in between Jimmy Eat World and Green Day.

Yeah that I agree with, the Killswitch stage is a 2000’s core fan’s wet dream. The knocked loose stage is pretty good too, the Whitechapel stage (even tho I hate all of those bands) is a pretty solid grouping for deathcore kids
But yes, Alice In Chains in between Jimmy Eat World and Green Day is dumb as shit, as is ICP headlining what’s otherwise a pretty solid set of bands too.
Just all of those headliners, that’s fucking rough. I guess Korn and Marilyn Manson makes sense too. But then you have fucking Daughtry opening… what lmfao
|
| |
yeah i feel like even Daughtry himself is scratching his head about that one lol
