BVB haven't been scene in a while, they're on a major label (Universal). I do like a few scene bands though quite a bit.

Indeed, Black Veil Brides is the name of the band. Glad you can read, Soy!
|
| |
what does the label they're signed to have anything to do w/being scene
|
| |
yeah I was gonna say
|

Major Label =/= scene?
I mean, at one point, Design the Skyline were on a major label... might still be (are they still a band??)

They kinda moved out of the scene and onto bigger things, Black Veil Brides, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, and a few others. The rest of the bands from the scene either plateau'd or topped out their fanbases.
Also I refuse to acknowledge Victory Records as a major label.

but theyre still seen as a scene band

Most of the people who still see them as a scene band still think they wear make up and create music like Knives and Pens though.
|
| |
i think the scope the scene has increased over the years. bands like paramore, fall out boy have broken out of it. i wouldn't say BVB have. i also don't think it's necessarily all about looks, so the eyeliner comment is irrelevant. they still speak to 17 year old goth kids .... and you (which is fine, but i'm js)

It's still their most popular song unfortunately, which doesn't help the general perception of their image.
