Every gj thread is exactly the same on this site. 90 percent favorable 5 percent deftones comparisons 5 percent criticising the vox

The first two tracks are the weakest, and they're still extremely good and highlights on their own.

"KNY actually has some of my favorite Deftones tracks, Entombed is seriously such a beautiful song."

I 100% agree, Entombed doesn't get the love it deserves. That album does have some of their best songs, like Leathers, Tempest, Gauze, Rosemary, etc.

Even though it's been a song for like 25 years Citizen is so sick.

"Album would be a 5 if the song Closer wasn't here."

I feel like I disagree with almost everyone in the thread about everything, I was so ecstatic when Closer came on. The album really felt like it needed a really fast catchy track

I'm not impressed, I guess I'm not impressed.

But seriously GJ is one of my favorite bands of all time and I'm a bit underwhelmed. Only 2 listens though but my opinion doubled after the 2nd listen. I feel like this is one of those onion albums with so much going on that we'll keep peeling off layers after each listen.

My biggest complaints are that it's too short and not enough variety. Feels pretty cohesive though, maybe their most cohesive album.

Also people who don't like quirky vocalists won't like this band, it's just how it is.

The album cover is so 90's, I love it.

The music is fantastic. Given this a few spins now and it just gets better with every listen.
