This needs an avg of 4 at the very least. Fucking hell, Sputnik.

Sputnik is too full of contrarians these days to have an avg over 4.2, ever. 3.8 is the new 4.0.

they dislike the concept of inaccessible music possessing some special quality, so they 1 bomb them

I mean it's also possible that people's tastes evolve,, causing old favorites to slip -- and some genres are particularly prone to that. post-hardcore and emo probably near the top of that list

if you give something a 5 at one point, you should leave it at that. repeated listening dulls any record. same as if you drop speed on friday, then on saturday, and then on sunday, the sunday hit will be kind of dull.

@ProjectFreak, I agree. I know there are a giant's handful of contrarians around here, but maybe people are just listening to more music, broadening their horizons. Not everyone that listens to City of Caterpillar or CTTS are big fans of the genre. I don't have those rated highly.

hard disagree. The albums I have 5'd have all held up masterfully, even when I try to scan them with my most critical lens (aside from the xSPONGExCOREx but that's an obvious joke 5). If my opinion on any of them shifted, my rating would reflect it.

Checking the band out for the first time, starting with this. So far I'm not sure if I like the vocals or not?
