These guys are playing the same day as Arcane Roots and I already have tickets to that. Do i blow AR off and go to this instead?

Le Symbolique/Let Me Down Easy is my favorite chunk from the album.

Hey gang, my first post here. I've had the luxury of listening to this album since July (yes, i do know the band members) and have been blown away by its magnificence. It's interesting reading the opinions here on the songs, but here's a fact: ask 10 people for their favourite song and you're likely to get 10 different responses. Surely the mark of a classic... However, I'm deeply disappointed in the lack of exposure of the album in the US. Apart from this site there is nothing. Not a line. These guys deserve better than that.

Where GOY really shine are in their live performances. Dave's capacity to hold an audience spellbound hasn't been seen here since Nick Cave and Tex Perkins. These 5 guys have been living, eating, sleeping and playing together for the past 3 years and it shows onstage. Looking forward to Friday night's Sydney hometown gig- it will be something special.

Well, from what I hear from friends who saw them in Brisbane a few days ago, they've gone up a notch again with their live gigs. I'll be very interested to hear their renditions of the string laden songs from the new album. They tinkered with the idea of having a string quartet join them but I hear that should eventuate next tour.

Finally found the time to read this review and listen to this album and first of all, praise to Rowbro, Jack and Ramon for the effort of putting this together, it's brilliantly made and helped me to understand the beauty behind this.

I am very, very impressed with Gang of Youths.
