Cases like this I find it hard to separate art from artist and it's not as if it was a masterpiece anyway

there's certainly not going to be any definitive end to what happened. it just will be as it was, suspended indefinitely

So something similar is happening with a local band I love, except the band was a lot more aggressive about it and have outright denied accusations, explaining that it would be sorted out through official, I assume legal means. Which I think is a smart move on their part, if indeed the accusations are false. But it's nonetheless resulted in significant blowback from fans on Facebook. A lot of unhelpful assumptions being made, but it's so interesting the immediate impact this can have on a band's success, in particular within the emo/alt-rock/indie scene. I'm interested in how this unfolds on a smaller scale.

Is that The Football Club, Blushful?
I was going to see them tonight but i'm not going anymore. I'm not assuming they're guilty right off the bat but I don't feel right about seeing them while those accusations are coming to light.

Yeah, it is, Land. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable about going either. I'm hoping the accusations are unfounded for the sake of the band, and the alleged victim, but it's just such an impossible thing to even begin to debate. Band will practically be forced into a hiatus until they can hopefully clean up their image if indeed they're telling the truth. Shame if they're shitty people, it was pretty neat to hear something like Ivy on the radio.
