Did you ever hear Lars' reasoning for no solos on Some Kind of Monster he tells Kirk that solos will make the music seem dated, Kirk replies by saying that no solos dates it to this time period and the current trends. then on one of the scenes off the DVD Kirk gets angry with Lars after recording a solo when Lars says no and responds with why am i being paid to be Metallica's lead guitarist when I don't get to lead.

you know what... all you fags who think this album sucks are ****ing stupid, metallica is awesome and this was defintely a good album, it was defeintely not their best butits still good, oh and to the reviewer, your listen to the wrong songs man
notable tracks shouldve been :
frantic, st.anger, some kind of monster, sweet amber, the unnamed feeling, all within my hands

This album is only average outside of the Metallica catalouge, I said it once and I will say it again, while not the best Load and Reload were at least listenable at times.

yeah i didnt liek this album it just ... went way to far out of wake but i will stay faithfull to metallica becouse i can see from there movie they were having problems and things with each other ...i think it sonicly sounds horible ... but good review ...even as a metallica fan i live for there music .... i do like some these songs frantic for one .. never heard anything like it it kinda grows on u a lil tho but the drums ..were shit..the mixing sucked guitars sounded like shit.........but dont give up one metallica....remmeber there 40

Guys, please. I just deleted another pages worth of comments here. None of them were about the review or the album, or Metallica, or indeed metal as a genre. If you want to discuss which album you're going to review next, then take it to AIM. I'm having to delete upwards of 100 comments a day at the moment, and it doesn't help if regulars here don't stick by the rules. We want you to enjoy the site, but not at the cost of setting a bad example.

The vocals were terrible and so was the guitar work. The bass was the only good thing on the album.
