Spinning for the first time now - so far this is pretty cool, opener doesn't really feel like it's as long as its 12 minutes

Agreed, both In Care Of and The Hustle feel way shorter than they are.

"The Hustle." You know a song is high-quality when it's 13 minutes in and you don't want it to end.

I like the fact the first tune feels like it never ends.

I played it to the missus one day and we have a bit of a chat in the middle and then she suddenly pricks up her ears like a rabbit and says 'why are you playing the same song again?'. Easily confused she is, explains a lot.

Warm is indeed the right word for this. This is the perfect backdrop for chilling by the fireplace (or so I would imagine).

Twig it's interesting to think they could have released all these songs in a more stripped down style like that live performance, I mean it's great but I'm glad they embellished the versions so much on the album proper

Where should I go next after this one? First experience with this band

The rest of their output doesn't have the electronic influence...if you want something as all enveloping and atmospheric go for 'Is a Woman' (which is an even stronger album imo).

If you'd rather hear them try something even more straightforwardly electronic/almost dance-y then listen to the side project album by HeCTA (which is decent but I've only listened to it a few times)

I'm in this for the mood/atmosphere so I'll grab Is a Woman, thanks.

Is a Woman is pretty much at the top of my priority list once I'm done with 2016 stuff.

I started with 'Damaged' which I didn't really go crazy over then 'Mr M' got me a lot more into them...then 'Nixon' sealed the deal
