I think it's just a weird thing Prophecy decided to do with this release. That new Les Discrets EP was a prophecy release that was immediately streaming on Bandcamp in full when it came out. When Skogslandskap came out, it streamed in its entirety upon release.
Alcest is arguably one of the biggest, if not biggest Prophecy bands, and I honestly think this is some sort of marketing strategy for them to sell more physical copies.

I think I got ran over by the hype train on this one. It's really really good but doesn't quite seem to have that special something.
Someone said power and as broad of a term as that is I think it's pretty accurate. Still, 4th listen was noticeably better than the first.
