"you can't really make direct comparisons as for the most part this album is more consistently hitting 11."

Wow, high praise, considering how hard Wrongdoers kicks ass.

I never understood most of the love for bless. It's a disjointed rotten mess

i think the "messiness" and "disjointed" aspects work in the album's favor, and it seems pretty obvious this is the effect the band was going for, considering the album was recorded live and such

in any case, despite some of the flack bless gets on here, i think it still remains an important and prominent album for the metalcore genre, especially early 00's metalcore, and is highly acclaimed based on numerous reviews I've seen/read

it can definitely be considered their best album

"Hitting 11"

Referring to volume output moreso than song quality.

Bless the Martyr definitely has an amazing atmosphere. They still play songs from it regularly, first time I saw them live they opened with The Shotgun Message

Yea, it's all sick lol And I love that two of the tracks just sound like Frodus

Tbh though, I'm glad they've changed so much from album to album. I like them all for different reasons.

The Close and Discontent is AWESOME. In fact the only bad song on here is 1,000,000 Watts. Oh and the pointless interludes.

1,000,000 is one of the best on here imo

Eh it does nothing for me. Feels like the most bland by-the-numbers track on here.

I actually like it a lot. I figured when I heard it the first time that it was serviceable as a single and that's it, but really it's fun as fuck and goes just hard enough for me.

Its groovy at times but it just bores me really. The tracks I'm really liking are Death, The Close and Discontent, and Ocean of War. Those really caught my ear on 1st listen.

Out of morbid curiosity decided to check the review of this album on Jesus Freak Hideout. While the review was actually well written, I find it funny that an entire paragraph was written about the one time they say "fucking" in 1,000,000 Watts.

I should probably stay away from that site, the review comments just make me angry.
