I fucking love Devin Townsend but I sorta want to agree with the review that things haven't been so great with the past couple albums. I loved Ziltoid but Z2 (Dark Matters) was....difficult to enjoy and barely felt like music. Epicloud and Blue Sky had some cool tracks but mostly forgettable (I just recently went back and "Rejoice!" is actually a stupid fun song).
Failure gave me so much hope in that strong return to form but then Secret Sciences sort of dropped disappointment down on me. I'm deployed so I don't think I'll be able to get a hold of the CD and get to listen for myself in a little while sadly
