nostlagia 64 was huge in the hh community when it dropped, was one of my fav projects that year, still my fav denzel
i wouldnt call him mainstream today but not far off, if he stays trve and makes hard hitting bangers he'll probably never be lukewarm enough for a massive audience (hopefully thats the case tbh)

that was definitely when i first heard about him but after this record i'd say anyone who is/was moderately in tune with underground hip hop knew who he was. at least that seemed to be my experience.
