I mean I love Celestial, Oceanic and Panopticon but, In The Absence of Truth and Wavering Radiant are to sappy for me. Sumac and OMG on the ither hand, aren't afraid of being weird and experimental, I thoroughly enjoyed OMG's latest two records not only for the heaviness but also because they went borderline Noise and Full Improv in some pieces, whereas Isis was always more melodic, conventional and even "sweeter".

Don't get me wrong, Isis' last two albums are still great, they just don't hit me as hard as their first three did, and I'm glad they experimented enough and became more melodic as time went on, it seems like it was the "logical conclusion" to the band's sound, however, I still miss the heavier moments from their early records and am glad that Turner still has it in him to make such heavy albums such as What One Becomes or OMG's seminars VIII and IX.
