relistening to their discog at the moment, currently on hollow crown
Nightmares was as good as i remember, really good grasp on songwriting for a tech metalcore making their first album.
Ruin was better than i remember, although sams lyrics consist of a shit ton of "you"'s and im not a massive fan of his vocal style on it
Hollow Crown is still a 5

what do you think they're gonna do after this mort?

i dont know tbh, ill be sad to see them go as even though they have had their ups and downs theyve never sucked to me
but Tom was an integral part of the band in many ways so i find it doubtful they would just replace him and carry on.

I'd have no problem with them calling it quits here and starting anew, it would seem a bit disingenuous to carry on since Tom did the majority of the songwriting.

yeah start a new band or something, theyre all competent enough to do new things id imagine

Agreed, the only issue with that is that Architects is a name people recognise and they've managed to build a reputation and fanbase in the scene over the years. They might be worried that if they start again they may lose fans.

Nah
Headlines will probably start with "REMAINING ARCHITECTS MEMBERS FORM NEW GROUP" or something along those lines.

Yeah I could see that happening.
I think they've run the train they're on long enough, personally. Their sound hasn't deviated much since the inception of Daybreaker.
While I really enjoyed it at that point, the last two haven't been as creatively inspired. This one's a touch better, and I actually ended up buying it. The first four songs are pretty fantastic.

I'd love for them to make a new Alt-Rock group since their Lead vocalists singing has been getting better every release. I just think making a new group and doing same old Metalcore is redundant.

there's something so pained and genuine in his screams that separates him from his peers

Sam is one of my favorite vocalists, nobody can produce such passionate vocals like he does. His pitch screaming or whatever it's classified as is out of this world. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they called it quits after this upcoming tour, but I'd still be sad

Every time Architects release an album the first reaction is 'hey guys, this one isn't actually so bad!'
Well yeah man, they were never awful. They were just always suuuuuuper mediocre.

Memento is probably their best song.

Sams a great vocalist for sure but lets not blow too much smoke up his ass, there are many vocalists out there who's screams are just as passionate

I can't tell if I like this or not... reminds me of a less melodic BMTH... it's sitting at a 3.2 right now...

These guys are infinitely better than BMTH. If you'd have said that 6 years ago fair enough but now...
