Yeah new album is killer. I always thought Planetary Duality was going to spawn a bunch of dope copycat albums but that didn't seem to pan out (some bands tried, not many successfully) - looks like the only people who can make a worthy follow-up are the homies themselves

I love when they go full Necrophagist

I got reminded of this band recently and re-listened to some of their stuff.

Honestly, this band is really frustrating. They will randomly break out one of the sickest sounding guitar riffs you’ve ever heard, but then follow it up with some awful prog noodling wankery or some terrible vocal effect.

Finally get this band lol. Always found them to be a diet version of Fallujah, but they have grooves that are very unique to them.. It's so compressed that the air is completely swallowed every time a guitar not is played followed by a momentary pause. It has this celestial atmosphere which is my favorite kind of tech death. If people still don't get this, I understand. It is REALLY reminiscent of bands like The Faceless too.. But I'm finally able to see the uniqueness.
