I have a hard time deciding which story I like better, this or Still Life. Both are masterpieces as far as concept albums go.

I agree with you. I think what attracts me to this one is the imagery and the haunting ghost story. It has a more despairing tone and imagery, which blends perfectly with the musical atmosphere.

Ghost Reveries stopped being a concept album half-way through the writing process (I think), but it's rather evident that the lyrics on the album are connected in some way (the "baying of the hounds" being mentioned in Harlequin Forest, for instance).
